These terms apply to daforum. By using the site you agree to them.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, whichever is higher. You must not use the site from a jurisdiction where viewing this material is unlawful. Confirming the age gate is a statement that both are true.
The following is prohibited and will be removed:
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. Every sign-in session is listed in your account settings, where you can end any or all of them. Changing your password, or completing a password reset, ends every existing session.
A confirmed email address is required to post, upload or start a thread. Uploading requires confirming that you hold the necessary rights to the material.
You keep ownership of what you post. You grant daforum permission to store, display and distribute it as part of running the site. Removal is authoritative: when a media item or post is removed, it disappears from the forum, the Gallery, collections, feeds and search at the same time, because they all reference the same record.
Content you remove yourself, and content removed by a moderator, is retained in the moderation log as a record of the action even though it is no longer visible.
Reports are reviewed by moderators. Depending on severity and history, an account may be warned, suspended for a period, or banned. A suspended account can still read but cannot post; a banned account cannot sign in. Every enforcement action is recorded, with a reason, in an audit log.
Media can also be quarantined pending review — hidden from everyone but staff, without being deleted — so that a decision can be made without destroying evidence.
Rights holders can file a notice through the rights process without needing an account. A notice must include a sworn statement that the claim is accurate and made in good faith. When content is removed in response, the affected uploader is told and may file a counter-notice within the configured window; a counter-notice does not by itself restore anything, it moves the case to a human decision.
